PERFECTING CHURCH INTERNATIONAL BELIEFS

We believe that:
The bible is the inspired word of God and final authority—(2 Timothy 3:16)

There is one God who exists in 3 persons: father, son and the Holy Ghost—(1 John 5:6, Genesis 1:26, John 15:26, John 16:15, Mark12: 29 -32, John 1:18.)

Concerning Jesus Christ we believe in:

His deity – i.e. that he is God – (Luke 2:11)
His virgin birth – (Matthew 1:23)
His sinless life – (1 Peter 2:22)
His miracles- (John 2:23)
His atoning death – (1 Peter2: 24)
His bodily resurrection- (Luke 24:6)
His ascension to the right hand of the father- (Luke 24:51, Luke 22:69).
His personal future return in power and glory- (1Thessalonians 4:16, Mark 13:26).

All of us are sinners and the only way to be redeemed from sin is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ – (Romans 3:22 – 23, Ephesians 1:17, Romans 10:13 -17).

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation- (Ephesians 1:13, Romans 8:9).

All believers must be baptized by total immersion in water because that’s what Jesus commanded us to do- (Mark16: 15 -16, Romans 6:3 -4, Matthew 3:16).

Jesus work on the cross includes healing for our bodies and Gods provision for our needs because of the new convenant- (Isaiah 53:5, 1st Peter 2:24).

The baptism of the Holy Spirit and praying in tongues is available to believers who seek it, and this is a separate experience to salvation- (Acts 9:14 – 17).

The Holy Spirit has a sanctifying power that enables Christians to live holy lives- (Romans 8:11, 1 Peter 1:2).

The bible teaches us healing of the past hurts; addictions and damage due to sin and lifestyle and that Christians need to grow in maturity. We believe that people can be changed through the process of sanctification not deliverance- (Colossian 1:13&28, Ephesians.)

Both saved and the lost will be resurrected, one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation- (John5: 28 -29, 1 Corinthians 15, revelations 20:11 -14.)

We believe that every believer should not only be part of the universal church, but also part of a local body-(1 Timothy 3:15, psalms 92:13, Hebrews 10:25).
